Happy (belated) Anniversary

Well, our third anniversary was this past Tuesday, and due to Grant being deathly ill and in his last week of Grad school (not to mention having  a newborn), we didn't get to celebrate.  So, I wanted to take some time to look back at our wedding.  Every year on our anniversary we watch our wedding video.  It's so much fun to see everything and remember the commitment that we made to each other.  We hope to do this fun tradition this evening.

I can honestly say that the past three years of my life  have been the most content.  Grant, you make me so happy, and I am so thankful that you are my husband.  I love you so much, and I am so excited to see where our life together is going to take us during the next three years and long after that!!

Zoo Trip

Ava waiting for the polar bear to walk by--giggling with joy.
Then..the polar bear walked right in front of her, and she screamed in terror.  So funny!
The one polar bear swims laps.  He kept swimming down to the bottom and then shooting up with his belly pressed against the viewing window.  So funny!  Here's the process:

A baby peacock---called a peachick. Who knew?
Eli, Ava and Sarah learning about the bones in a giraffe neck.
The elephants taking a tubby.
Eli with the lions.  They were roaring later on in the day.  Scary!
Sleeping now--not so scary.
All in all, an awesome day at the zoo with the Smoker clan.  And Adam--Alex just LOVED the giraffes.  :)

And Still More Pictures...

Alex's half smile...shows off his dimple!
My sweet boy.
He's looking at his daddy in this one.
Just hangin' out with Grandpa.
This is from his first trip to the zoo.  He needed to wear a hat to protect his bald little head from the sun, but it was a little big!
