The whole family bundled up and headed to the zoo the week after Christmas. We got there in the afternoon, walked around and saw all the animals, and stayed just long enough for it to get dark and see the lights for Festival of Lights. My personal highlight of the trip was hearing the male lion roar. It was so surreal. I would not want to meet him in the wild!
