~Our good friend, Danny, is in town from Colorado. Alex hasn't seen him in about 6 months. Danny bent down to hug Alex at church this morning and Alex hid behind Grant's leg and wouldn't even look at him. In the car on the way home, Alex says "I scared of other mommies and daddies. I don't like them. I scared." We said, "Why?" and he answered "Cause I scared of humans." Ha!
~Alex is obsessed with becoming a firefighter. A REAL firefighter. Every couple of days we have to have a conversation about how he has to be an adult to be a real firefighter. The other day, this is how that went:
Alex: I want to be a REAL firefighter, Mommy.
Me: I know, bud. You have to wait until you're an adult.
Alex: I know! But I growing and growing. I can't hold it. I WANT to be one. I thinking about it all the time. My firefighter coat (his Halloween costume) not dirty and my firefighter hat not dirty. I want to be REAL firefighter, Mommy!
