#2 Doing our advent calendar with Alex. Today was talking about how Gabriel, the angel, came and told Mary that she would have baby Jesus. I said, "Alex, do angels talk to you?" He responded, "Yeah! And they sleep with me, too!" I love that God sends angels to comfort my boy.
#3 Ding-Dong-Ditch-ing at my parents house. We got the kids out of the car, put them on my parents' doorstep, rang the doorbell and started to drive away. Grant and I thought it was hilarious. Thankfully, my parents did too. We took a quick trip to Kroger and had a 20 minute date shopping for Christmas lights before we went back and rescued my parents.
#4 I enjoyed the irony of watching my children fight over who could play with the nativity set. I finally said to Alex, "You're fighting over Jesus! Jesus likes you to share!" Of course, it ended in tears and time-outs.
#5 Watching Alex stand on a step ladder and gently help my mom place the candles on the windowsill in her Christmas museum--I mean--dining room. :)
#6 A sweet playdate with great friends, sweet kiddos, and a chubby-cheeked baby.
